This little miracle baby visited my studio last month for her newborn session. The Wiegand family lives in Destin, FL, and traveled to North Georgia for a session in the studio with their two little girls. Back in June when Brooke was 22 weeks along, she texted me to let me know she went in for a follow-up appointment and she was experiencing Chorioamniotic membrane separation. Her understanding was that her water could break at any time and a premature baby was expected. She was being referred to a maternal fetal specialist and had the goal to make it to 24 weeks, and then 28 weeks, and was being monitored very closely week by week. Lots of prayers were spoken over this sweet little girl's life and that she would receive all the nutrition she needed to grow and be born at full term. Prayers were answered and Ava Joy entered the world on October 14, 2021 at 12:41 PM weighing 6 pounds, and measuring 19 inches long at full term.
When Brooke arrived at the studio for her session all I could see was gratitude in her eyes. She said countless times how thankful she was and how they were living in answered prayers. The combination of relief and joy was so evident. This session is by far one of the greatest miracles I’ve had the honor to capture.
