In-Home Newborn Session
Some families really feel like family to me. The Phelps family is a perfect example of that having documented every milestone of their family from engagement, wedding, newborn, birthdays, and now the birth of their second son Westbrook.
For Wes’s newborn session, the Phelpses opted for an in-home session (just like they did for their older son Grayson). It was extreme Deja Vu walking into their home two and a half years later and turning across the hall to little brother’s nursery. I loved how attentive and interested Grayson was to his little brother the entire time I was photographing him. And of course, their pup Cooper was right beside me the either time as well.
3-Month In-Studio Session
For Westbrook's 3-month session the Phelpses traveled to the studio in Clarkesville (with brother Grayson and dog Cooper in tow too). This session highlighted Westbrook’s journey thus far with his club feet and we spent a few minutes photographing him in his braces (which are pretty much an extension of his body at this point with how often he has to wear them). I can image that one day they will all look back at these photos in amazement for how far Wes has come in this journey!
I cannot wait to see them in a few months for Westbrook’s 6-month portraits in the new studio!
