Fresh 48 sessions are quickly becoming some of the sweetest sessions I do. There is something so special about a fresh newborn baby with their chunky cheeks and inability to stay awake longer than a few moments. The sweet sounds, the way that they scrunch each time they are picked up, the little stretches of their toes, and the wonder excitement in the room. It is incredible just how quickly babies change in those first few hours, days, and weeks. At each moment it is almost as if you can notice them changing before your eyes.
I love how the Williamson family chose to add a Fresh 48 session onto their newborn package for that very reason! Although newborn sessions are typically done within the first month of life, so much can change between birth and the session. Also, if birth photography isn’t your style, this is a great way to document your time in the hospital together in your first days as a family without getting the nitty gritty details of the birth itself.

Seeing baby Liam back in the studio for his newborn session was so so sweet. Anytime I get to see a baby multiple times their first few weeks is always a pleasure, but especially when I am one of the first people to hold them. This little guy has hair like his daddy and high cheekbones like his mama. The perfect blend of both parents for sure! On the day of their session, mama got to sit back and let Kelly with Sweet Annie Salon take the stress off doing her hair and makeup. As a first time mama in the beginning of your postpartum journey, there is nothing more stress-relieving than letting someone else take care of your hair and makeup for newborn photos!
Mama chose a beautiful delicate blue floral dress from the client wardrobe and Dad opted for a soft gray henley for a more casual look. I love how mama’s dress felt feminine and delicate yet was a perfect match for her little boy’s session.
I cannot wait to watch this sweet little guy grow this year! Chances are he is going to be a little stud!
