Have you ever considered including your furry family members into your session? I love when families want to incorporate their pets into their family portraits in the Clarkesville Studio and during in-home sessions. Including your pets in the session is just another extension of preserving your family’s memories. Chances are, your pet is a big part of your family’s life and your children have a connection with them. It is always so fun to see how much pets grow and age just like children do. Watching playful puppies grow and mature is almost just as fun as watching babies grow.
Maybe the thought of incorporating your pets gives you anxiety; too many moving pieces and you don’t know how you will control it all. Rest assured, I will be able to create beautiful story-telling images that include your furry family friends. The best thing that you can do is ensure your dogs/cats are comfortable with new environments (if opting for the studio). Bring along their favorite toy or some treats to warm them up to the new setting and then encourage your family to play with them, snuggle, and interact with them just like you would at home.
If you have multiple pets and would like to include them in your photos, I would highly recommend an in-home session. Having your pets in their normal environment will be less stressful for them, and you will not have to worry about transporting all of your pets (and children) to a new place. This is a great way to photograph your family’s story in a place that you want to remember.
